BLOG 19

Hello Peeps :o)

Well here I am again finally got round to writing lol

So where to start, erm, erm, erm.....

Ok, whilst I'm trying to get my brain to function let me start by mentioning the absolutely gorgeous weather we have been having lately. There's something about nice weather that makes people happier and much more agreeable with each other :o) Mind you it won't be long before we all start complaining that it's too warm and wish it could cool down a little and we could do with some rain lol. We British people are never happy :o)

Oooh, newsflash.... I am going to be a grandmother again..YAY! Yes I am happy about it, as most of you that know me, know I absolutely love being a grandmother, and this little one will be number 5. We are all convinced that this one will be a little boy, so watch this space at the end of the year to see if I was right. Lol we are so convinced that we have nicknamed him Cuthburt :o)

My mam came up to stay for the week-end and  it was really nice to see her as I haven't seen her for a while. :o)  After staying with her for all that time last year it made me realise that time goes by sooo quickly and that you should cherish the moments you have with your family. It's such a shame that we live far from each other, ok, in this day and age it's merely considered down the road, but when you have no transport it may as well be on the other side of the world. :o(   Well, at least it was a change of scenery for her, mind you her friends will have wonder where she was when she didn't turn up at the cafe for her regular morning coffee lol. I think she enjoyed herself anyway..... I have to laugh really cos on Saturday we went to Morrisons, we left here at 08:20 went to the cafe for a coffee then went to look around the shop, baring in mind that she didn't want anything, just have a look as she hadn't been before.....11:30 we got back home! LOL :o)

I wonder how hard it is to get short stories printed in magazines... I've always fancied trying my hand at that...hmmm maybe I will, let's face it what harm can it do? right?...... look out mags, emails with attachments on their way ha ha!  Seriously though if anyone can point me in the right direction let me know....usual channels facebook, twitter @01shai, email sharonevans2008@btinternet.com, ;o)

I know that there aren't many pics on this blog, but I will get round to putting some more on at a later time...when I find some that is.....
you know it's such a shame that in this day and age you have to be so careful of putting pictures on the web, because let's face it you have no idea who is out there and what weirdos would steal pictures of your precious family, so unfortunately as much as I would love to plaster my blog pages with pics of my lovely children and gorgeous grandchildren....it's just not going to happen :o( :o(

Well my lapi is bombing along really well at the moment thanks to an overhaul from Dr,J..diolch blodyn ;o)

Phew getting back to this gorgeous weather, it is absolutely sweltering here far too hot at times though especially at night :o(   See as I said earlier we are never happy about the weather ha ha :o)
So how are you all keeping yourselves cool?  Why not comment and share it with the readers...hmm? :o)

What about the sports then....

The British & Irish Lions winning the test against Australia, the first time in 16yrs well done to them. :o) The only fly in the ointment was the way that Warren Gatland was treated after he made his final selection and for dropping O'Driscoll (who incidentally had no hard feelings towards the coach), ok putting in 10 welsh players might have seemed a little drastic, but give the man his due, he knows what he is doing. The final score of that game 16-41 to the Lions proves that Gatland made the right choice at the time.

Wimbledon next...yay!  a 77yr drought for the British male players was broken by Andy Murray on Sunday..as they say you cant hurry a Murray, he worked up towards it last year and triumphed this year. I don't know if it's true but I read that he has donated his Wimbledon winnings to Cancer Research? If it'd true then that is a very generous gesture for him to do and fair play to him :o)

Sports photos are from free images on the web :o)

Well I think I'll finish for now, and will speak to you all again soon :o)

Keep safe, well and happy :o) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

BLOG 18

Well hello...remember me ? lol
can't believe it's been soooooo long since I last blogged  :os

So where do I start so much catching up to do ;o)

Ok let's start with Christmas :o) Did you all have a nice one? I certainly did....for the first time in a looong time I had all my children and all my grand children together under one roof...nice!

Christmas is a magical time, but it's more so when there are children and Sion Corn comes to call. Hmmm, I feel a rant coming on....do you know what irritates me around the Xmas period? Nativity plays, or to be exact the lack of them. I know that we live in a nanny state where we have to be pc about everything and mustn't upset anyone, which is why you hear Happy Holidays as opposed to Happy Christmas. I'm sorry, but I was raised as a Christian and always celebrated Christmas as the birth of Jesus Christ and the telling of the Nativity played a part in that, and in my personal opinion this should still be shared by the children in the schools. Well I won't carry on.....don't want you to switch off no ;o)

Well 21st Dec 2012 came and went without so much as a burp and we are all still here, not that I ever doubted it for a nano second....honestly I didn't....but did you? lol

How many of you Welsh lover remembered to celebrate Dydd Santes Dwynwen, the saint of Welsh lovers? Did you give your love a nice card and gift, or maybe a lovespoon?
Did you get something from your love?
Guess what...I didn't :o( lol

So did all you children (of all ages) remember your mother on Mother's Day? :o)

How many of you had a lot of snow this year? We had loads over three days. Funnily enough I remember being told that the local radio station said that it was snowing in North Wales but that Anglesey didn't have any at that time....WRONG! It arrived quietly and quickly covered everywhere with a blanket...:o) Over the afternoon and into the night it continued to fall getting deeper. My granddaughter wasn't too impressed as she was staying in the Wirral that weekend and they hardly had any lol. Mind you there was still snow when she arrived back and the school was closed for a day as an added bonus :o)

Here are a few photos I took of the snow round here.....

Now we come to something all my Welsh friends will like....and all my English friends won't lol.....

Wait for it.....

#Wales defeated England.......# :o) :o) :o)

Yep at the end of the Six Nations, Wales were the champions having pulled the mat under the English lads and stopping their first Grand Slam in ten years...Never mind there's always next year....unless we win it again that is lol

There has always been that competitiveness between Wales and England with the rugby, but you know it isn't malicious. :o)

It's nice to see the fans all mingling together in the stands, enjoying the game......

There is a new addition to my granddaughter's menagerie lol.... meet Skye, she is a beautiful collie/labrador cross :o)  She has a lovely temperament, friendly and has what has to be the lickiest tongue and the waggiest tail..bless. Mind you her tail should come with a destruct warning with the amount of things that get swept off coffee tables and anything it comes in contact with lol

Well that's your lot for now peeps....I won't leave it long for the next blog ;o)

Please continue to read my blogs and share them on facebook and retweet on twitter.

Keep safe and happy..... :o)
