Blog2.
Well let me start off by saying thank you to everyone who read my first blog, and hopefully it hasn't put you off reading some more :o) Ooooh I also feel that a small apology might be order to a certain someone who reminded me that I didn't entirely, completely, set up the blog page on my own, unaided....did most of it though :op
Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed when for example you want to have a quiet 5min and someone insists on talking to you? Like this morning, I read the paper from cover to cover so I didn't really need to have excerpts from it read out loud, and even though you say, "yea I know, I just read it.." they start on another article...I mean...HELLOOOO! I've read it! :o(
It happens all the time doesn't it? To give you another example, when you are sitting quietly with an open book in front of you, someone sits down at your table and for some unknown reason they assume that you want to talk...if you wanted to talk you would have closed your book and shown an interest...wouldn't you? Or what about when you are sitting quietly, earphones in, eyes closed, minding your own business, listening to your favourite tunes or an interesting audio book and you make that fatal mistake of opening your eyes to see who sat down at your table....and so it starts. I've even said before today, "sorry to be rude and all that, but I've got to a really interesting part and I've really got to finish it before I have to go."Huh, you would have thought that I'd committed a heinous crime and I felt so guilty (over their attitude I might add) that I said, "never mind it'll keep," and engaged in conversation with them!
My granddaughter (yes I know it's unbelievable that I'm a nain) fell the other day and skinned her knees...ouch... can you remember doing that? I'm sure you all must have at one point gone around with scabby knees that seemed to last for ages cos sod's law always meant that you knocked your knee on something so the healing process took longer. Talking of grandchildren (probably a mistake letting me start talking about them though), how many of you are lucky enough to be a grandparent? I am doubly blessed with having three grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren and one more about to make an appearance in the next couple of months. How lucky am I? As much as I love being a mother, being a nain is different, you know, it's something that you can only appreciate when you become one. I really don't understand people, mostly women, who don't want to be called the usual grandmother names like nain, naini, gran, granny, grandma, mamgu...you get the picture... and make up a name like...oh, I don't know... grimble, nonny, etc. I can catagorically say with no hesitation, I am nain and love it. :o)
Well it will soon be time for the Six Nations, yay! Yes, I am a rugby fan, a proper game of skill, stamina, fair play, and fit blokes running around being all macho, testosterone oozing from every pore.....phew, cold flannel please. All that aside I will be watching our boys in each of their matches and will be sharing my opinion of the matches with you all :o)
Well blog number 2 finished with, and I hope you enjoyed it. I don't know how often I will be putting up a blog, hopefully it will be 3/4 a week and if people like them, even every day......please pass on to your friends and feel free to comment on any of my blogs :o)
So 'till the next one....bye bye for now. :o) xx
very good sharon x
